Terms & Conditions

The mutual educational agreement, academic expectations, and fiscal obligations binding parents, guardians, and the Academy administration.

Effective Date: September 1st, 2025 Last Updated: June 17th, 2026 Authority: GCA Board of Governors

1 Enrollment Agreement

By registering, enrolling, or continuing the attendance of any student at Glory Children's Academy (GCA), the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and enters into a binding covenant with the academy. This contract aligns with the approved curriculum and bylaws structured under the Taraba State Educational Guideline Codes and the Glory Children's Academy Board of Governors.

This agreement regulates student attendance, continuous academic participation, timely payment of statutory school fees, mandatory parent-teacher association (PTA) compliance, and compliance with all published behavioral standards.

2 Performance & CA Policies

Curricular achievements at Glory Children's Academy require sustained commitment, active home supervision, and consistent school attendance:

  • Continual Assessments: Students must participate in all scheduled quizzes, continuous assessment (CA) projects, computer lab tests, and terminal examinations. Missing these evaluations without an official medical excuse issued by a certified Taraba State hospital forfeits the associated score weights.
  • Attendance Threshold: A minimum classroom attendance rate of 85% per academic term is required to clear a pupil for mid-term and final term examination worksheets.
  • Course Progression: Promotion to subsequent academic classes (especially across critical divisions like Primary 6, Junior Secondary 3, or Senior Secondary 3) requires achieving minimum passing marks on cumulative assessments and final term exam transcripts.

3 Fee Obligations & Clearance

Operating high-quality academic layouts, science labs, dynamic ICT facilities, and securing top-tier educational materials requires punctual financial settlements:

  • Payment Resumption Window: All termly fees, including learning materials, uniform fees, and school bills, must be paid in full on or prior to the resumption week of that particular academic term.
  • PTA Levies: Mandatory PTA general levies must be satisfied per parent/guardian pool as agreed during scheduled parent-teacher general assemblies.
  • Delayed Fee Consequence: If fee balances remain unpaid after the designated third-week billing grace period, the student will face exclusion from classroom lectures, withholding of terminal examination transcripts, and temporary deactivation of the Online Student Report Card lookup token.
Installment Protocol: Parents facing transient financial hardship must physically visit the Admissions Desk and meet with the School Principal prior to the mid-term exams to request a structured installment clearance plan. Verbal agreements are not recognized.

4 Parent Ethics & PTA

A cooperative educational community is built on mutually respectful communication and active home-school coordination:

  • Assemblies & PTA: Attendance at parents-teachers association (PTA) meetings is mandatory for at least one representative parent or designated guardian per registered household.
  • Decorum: Verbal abuse, hostile physical actions, aggressive behavior, or threats aimed at teachers, registrars, security guards, or students on school grounds will result in immediate termination of the ward's enrollment.
  • Grievance Channels: Disputes regarding grading records, classroom incidents, or administrative actions must be directed with official decorum in writing to the School Principal or scheduled through physical appointments at the Admissions Desk.

5 Behavior & Disciplinary Code

Glory Children's Academy maintains a prestigious reputational standard. Zero tolerance is held for behaviors that undermine safety, character development, and general class harmony:

  • Unacceptable Behaviors: Direct participation in bullying (digital or physical), exam malpractice (bringing notes, cheating devices, or plagiarizing transcripts), persistent truancy, damage to lab assemblies, or insolence toward teachers.
  • Disciplinary Chain: Breach of the student behavioral manual results in successive administrative responses: official written warning, immediate suspension, and final expulsions determined by the Board of Governors.
  • Restitution: Property damages caused by reckless play or direct vandalism inside science labs, ICT clusters, or standard classrooms must be replaced or fully compensated by the student's parent/guardian.

6 Digital Report System Use

The school provides secure, private online channels to reference grades and review child performance:

  • Credential Management: Access tokens, student registration numbers, and portal passwords issued by GCA Digital Services are private and must not be shared with external third parties.
  • No Guarantees on Municipal Networks: While the school hosts portal endpoints on top-tier redundant servers, we do not oversee rural electricity grids or cellular signal patterns in outer Taraba State. Parents experiencing transient network timeouts are advised to retry downloads during standard off-peak morning hours.
